Each RAID level involves a trade-off between the
following factors:
- Performance
- Capacity
- Power
- Availability
- Cost
- Reliability
To define the best array configuration for your
servers, evaluate the Write and Read loads of all data types and then decide
how much you can spend to achieve the performance level, reliability and availability that your organization requires. Table 12 describes common configurations and
their relative performance, availability,reliability,capacity, cost and energy
consumption.
